Postage and Returns


What type of instant cameras do you hire out?

We use Fujifilm Instax Mini 8, 8+, 9, and 11 cameras.

What colour cameras can I hire?

We currently stock white and a limited amount of pink instant cameras.

How long can I keep the cameras?

You have five days from the date of your event to use the cameras, after which point you will need to return all cameras to us within another five days. Late returns after this point will be subtracted from the bond at a rate of $5 per day per camera.

How much film should I order per camera?

We normally recommend 2 or 3 shots per guest. If you have leftover unopened, undamaged packs of film we will happily refund you upon receipt up to a maximum of 100 shots.


What methods of payment do you accept?

Upon confirmation of your order, you will receive an invoice via email. You will be able to pay by credit/debit card through the secure Paypal website, or you can direct transfer to a bank account.

Do I have to pay a security bond?

Yes, there is a bond of $70 per camera hired. The total amount will be refunded once all equipment is returned in the same working condition, and on time. If any items are missing or damaged requiring repair, that specific value will be taken out of the total amount and the remaining partial bond will be refunded (e.g. a completely unworkable or lost camera will forfeit the entire $70, whereas other less serious damage will be calculated on a case by case basis).

Do you accept deposits? What if I cancel my order?

Your order will only be locked in once you pay your invoice in full, or pay an agreed-upon deposit amount (normally 20% of the order total, with a minimum of $10). If you cancel your order before the cameras have been physically posted out, we will refund your paid amount in full. However, if you cancel your order after the cameras have been posted out, you will forfeit 50% of the paid amount (not including the security bond). You will then need to return the parcel once you receive it, preferably by writing “RTS” on the package and lodging it with Australia Post – once we receive the cameras back we will refund the security bond as per normal procedures.

Postage & Returns

How are postage costs calculated?

The cost of postage and handling is calculated depending on how many cameras and/or film you purchase, and will be quoted upon enquiry. For returning the cameras to us, we will supply you with a prepaid satchel.

How quickly can I receive the cameras?

We are based in Perth, Western Australia, and we ensure that your order will arrive at least several days before your event. We send via Express Post, which usually takes 2-5 business days to reach customers outside of WA. Customers who reside in Perth are welcome to enquire about local pickup and drop-off options to save on postage.

How do I return the cameras to you?

We make this part as easy as possible!

If you received the cameras in a satchel bag, you will have a prepaid return satchel included – simply pop the cameras into this bag (inside their individual boxes, if provided), stuff it with bubble wrap that was also included, and drop it off at your nearest post office or street posting box if the bag is small enough.

Do you have any suggestions for other entertainment?

So, you’ve got the Instax Mini cameras ordered and ready to go. Why not pair the cameras with giant vintage lawn games to create some crazy photo memories? Our Perth-based friends over at Bear and the Beanstalk hire out party games such as oversized Jenga, Yahtzee, and noughts and crosses, along with classics like bocce, ten pin bowling and sack racing. It’s a hoot!
